At Emler Swim School, we believe that kids learn best when they’re having fun, so we make sure that every class is a positive experience that builds our swimmers’ confidence in the water. Our highly trained teachers are carefully selected for their love of kids and positive attitudes, so you’ll see plenty of smiles, high-fives and hugs, and hear lots of laughter and verbal praise.
Because we know most kids will work hard to earn a special treat, we also provide prizes large and small as rewards for a job well done. Since 1975, hundreds of thousands of Emler swim students have pushed themselves out of their comfort zone to learn a new skill and earn M&Ms (or Skittles, for children with chocolate allergies). While most beginning students only eat about seven tiny pieces of candy per lesson, this immediate and tangible positive reinforcement becomes a much-coveted reward for correctly performing a new skill, and inspires students to repeat those skills again and again.
